Roger Rees
Executive Director
Roger Rees brings a strong, long-term international business background to Oregon HEAT. It is that same business savvy that has earned him high regards and respect for his expertise in reorganization as well as business leadership, achieving healthy operations, development of community coalitions and advisory roles in strengthening local economies.
"I spent years in the private sector building my business expertise and experience," states Rees. "Transitioning to the nonprofit arena gave me the chance to use those skills to the benefit of the local community."
His extensive leadership experience includes numerous board and commission positions, including nine years on the Board of Governors for Portland Shriner's Hospital for Children. Currently, he serves on one of Portland's Development Commission Financial Advisory Committees, the Lents Community Urban Renewal Committee and many more. Also, Rees is on the boards of several nonprofit, private foundations and is an active member of Oregon's largest Rotary Club to help mobility-challenged citizens acquire power scooters and chairs.
Mr. Rees received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Willamette University and attended Portland State University for his MBA studies. He and his wife have one daughter who is currently a U.S. Prosecuting Attorney.
