Great Balls of Fire
Salvador Molly’s Restaurant in SW Portland once again partners with Oregon HEAT to raise funds to help low-income Oregonians with energy assistance by producing its 16th Annual Great Balls of Fire event. The event kick off is Sunday, January 29th at 11AM for the Toughest Tongue in Town Contest; how many Great Balls of Fire can you eat? Last year’s winner ate 21 of them! Can you feel the burn? The event continues throughout the month of February, Salvador Molly’s will donate funds for each Great Balls of Fire ordered. If you can eat five (5) of them you get your picture on the “HALL OF FLAME.” Finally, the fundraising event will conclude on Saturday, March 3rd at 11AM with the King of HEAT contest. The restaurant will crown whoever, King or Queen, eats the most Great Balls of Fire (no limit). Come out and try the contests or support friends willing to take on the HEAT! Last year’s event raised over $2,500 to help people in need of heat and lights during cold winter months. Salvador Molly’s is located at 1523 SW Sunset Blvd in SW Portland.
