Every day, many low-income Oregonians must make difficult decisions on how to pay their bills including the purchase of needed medicines and food to feed their family. Oregon HEAT partners with utility companies who care about their customers who are struggling to pay their heating bills during winter months. The utility companies offer their customers a way to help out their neighbors who may need a helping hand to keep their bills current so they can stay warm. Inside your November utility bill you may find an envelope to help low-income Oregonians who desperately need help with their home heating. Oregon HEAT, an independent nonprofit organization, and your utility company have joined in partnership to raise funds to help the thousands of Oregon families who need help to stay in a warm and well-lit home during the winter months.
As you write pay your utility bill this month, please take a moment to write another check to Oregon HEAT to help ensure some struggling Oregon family will have a warm and bright home.
