Oregon HEAT has a NEW look!

Since 1989, Oregon HEAT has been serving the State of Oregon and its low-income citizens with emergency energy assistance.  In that time frame we have helped tens of thousands people keep their heat and lights on during cold winter months.

We are now launching our new website to bring everyone the latest news about energy assistance from Oregon HEAT, how you can educate yourself about energy conservation and keep you up to date and informed about our growing innovative Oil Program.  We are also striving to reach as many donors in order to raise as much funding as we can to help the many thousands of families who are struggling to pay for their heating needs.   We will continue to look to our great utility partners, corporate donors and the more than 8,000 individual donors who care about their neighbors and do not want any of them to suffer a cold and dark winter.  We will continue to help over 15,000 individuals annually who need help in their energy crisis.

The changes you’ll see are an attempt to make our site more readable, user friendly and a place you’ll come back time and again for new information.  Remember if you have old bookmarked pages or you have saved your favorite parts of our old site to refresh and change your book marks to reflect our new exciting design.

In our new website we hope that you will join us in our blogs, visit our pages and share in the opportunity to be more informed about Oregon HEAT.  We trust that you will continue to support our mission to develop and coordinate resources to help low-income Oregonians meet their energy needs and to achieve energy self-reliance through education and advocacy.

Our Energy Assistance new page allows families who are in need of assistance the ability to find a local agency partner who can start the application process to receive funds to keep their heat on.  Likewise the section will have tools for the agency to be able to reach out to Oregon HEAT in a timely and efficient way to cut down on administrative costs.  We expect this will be a substantial improvement over our old website.

Oregon HEAT is striving to be as transparent as possible.  We will post our financial reports, give you links to see all of our newsletters, both the latest and historical issues, and continue to be the lead-by-example nonprofit that uses your donations as wisely as possible and keep our administrative costs low.  We continually strive to keep our administrative costs no greater than 10 cents of every dollar. We will keep our site fresh with new information so that you’ll be more informed — informed about what we do; informed about how we do it; and most of all informed enough to make a positive difference in the quality of lives of your low-income neighbors that need us to be there for them. Donate to Oregon HEAT today and welcome to the new look of Oregon HEAT!

We are very proud of our new website and we need to thank the people who have made it happen.

  • First off we must thank an anonymous charitable trust for their gracious grant; this new website is funded in part by this grant.
  • Next, we also must thank Brandon Carson and his team for their countless hours of work to put this project in motion.
  • Finally we must thank you, the Oregon HEAT supporters for without you we could not do what we do everyday…Help families in crisis with their energy needs.

THANK YOU!
