Share the Warmth of the Season

It’s that time of the year when you are thinking of sharing the season with friends and family and enjoying the holidays with loved ones.  Are we going to Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving? Are all the relatives coming home for Christmas?  Are we sharing Hanukah with the neighbors?  These are just some of the questions that may be floating around your house.   Whatever holidays you may share with family and friends it is important not to forget those who may be struggling this year to make it through the holiday season.

As we take part in our holiday activity, please take time out to share the warmth of giving by making a contribution to Oregon HEAT to make some Oregon families have a warm and cozy holiday.  There are various ways to do something for a person who may need help staying warm in their home during winter months.  You can read about the Scotts Family in the Oregonian’s 80th edition of the Season of Sharing who was helped by Oregon HEAT. The story may motivate you to share with a colleague or friend that Oregon HEAT is a great place to donate or if you like to share your own story with us about times in your life that you needed help and Oregon HEAT was there for you.  Your story may then inspire others to help their neighbors and before you know it we are all feeling warm and cozy.

However you share the Holidays this year, remember to take time out and see if there is a way you can share the warmth of the season with someone who may need help.
